APJA is dedicated to create a free world sustained by responsible journalism. Thus APJA places emphasis on high standard and ethical behavior in the practice of journalism among members. In order to achieve the mission and objectives to foster excellence in journalism, APJA encourages diversity and plurality in the media and APJA constantly seeks to provide to members the various tools to keep them perform ethically and professionally. Since APJA organization strives to excellence in journalism, it is APJA objective to become the most respected and trustworthy broad-based membership organization for journalists and other media professionals in the world. Services offered to our members comprise of:

Accreditation

Individual
APJA is recognized as a resource for available journalists and members easily gain access to countless events. However, from time to time, APJA will apply for special passes for its members wishing to cover some events requiring special accreditation. Once the membership fees are paid, APJA will solicit accreditation to that special event on your behalf upon request. Note however that submission of a request does not guarantee press accreditation. APJA does not guarantee you will gain entry to any event.

Corporate
Furthermore, APJA provides accreditation to institution offering courses and training in media and communication related fields. Gaining an APJA accredited institution status can be beneficial to your organization.

Full Service Headquarters
APJA headquarters maintains a business office which is fully staffed 5 days a week for the benefit of members. Membership and program records are electronically managed and updated daily. The order desk is manned 12 hours most days. Emails and requests are usually responded within 48 hours.
 
Networking and Visibility
A collaboration with an independent news content provider (World News) offers journalists, as well as newcomers and part-time editors, the chance to publish varied editorial content: news, reports, reportages, press releases, interviews, stories, tradeshow and event news, sports articles, professional articles, graphical material and much more.

Professional Development
APJA is aware that media professionals must constantly stay abreast in their field and therefore find ways for improvement. APJA in collaboration with trusted partners offer the possibility for its members to acquire professional development trough seminars and workshop, online trainings and or mentoring. These services are only available to members.

Advocacy
APJA offers a strong professional organization which functions as a non-union journalist organization and is there for full- as well as part-time journalists. APJA consistently advocates freedom of the press, and in so doing we support organizations such as ˇ°Reporters without Bordersˇ±, IFEX, CPJ and many others.
